I haven’t opened my website in awhile. It’s a miracle I remembered my password to access it! I haven’t published a blog since 2020 and, even then, a great deal of time had passed since I’d written regularly. As I type now, I want to believe I’ll be more consistent, but I don’t know. I know what God has laid on my heart and I certainly hope to fulfill the burden he’s put on it. Before I even started writing this blog, I counted and re-read about two dozen drafts or titles I’d previously started.
What has God put on my heart? Truth is, it’s the same think that’s always been on my heart - to share our story. Everyone has a unique story. Some feel compelled to share, others are more private. My heart has always been to share. I hope it can bring hope to what God is capable of doing in a remarkably challenging world.
My desire to continuing sharing was reignited this July. A trip that’s been in the works since May of 2016 has now been cancelled - twice. Frankly, all that’s occurred is still raw - we’re still gaining answers, as the root of the situation involves Dylan’s health. Some have a good idea of what happened over the summer, others know bits and pieces and some of you know nothing. My goal is to share, through a series of 8-12 blogs, what occurred this summer and the greatness of God in the midst of utter heartbreak and chaos. From there, I look forward to sharing what we’re going through currently and also dust off drafts that have been sitting for awhile, as we’ve experienced cool God winks over the past few years.
In preparation of upcoming blogging, I thought I’d recap our family….
Rob and I have been married 23 years…I am so so proud of us - I love him more than ever!
Dylan is 21 and will age out of the CA public school system in December, at 22…I feel like we need a retirement party?!
Jeremy just turned 18 and is a senior is high school - the majority of our family is now ADULTS! What??? Be still my heart! It’s true - you blink and they’re grown.
Greg is 15, a sophomore and has the most phenomenal work ethic…this kid is cool!
Savannah is approaching 14 fast, my 8th/9th grader (joy of homeschooling!) and I can’t wait to share the modern day health miracles God has performed in her life. WOW!
Lincoln is 11, officially in middle school (which I literally keep forgetting) and continues to be a pillar of joy, laughter and love. He probably deserves his own section on the website…this kid is INSIGHTFUL and HILARIOUS!
That’s our family, in the BRIEFEST nutshell. I hope that our family, in all of it’s ups and downs, can remind you of God’s faithfulness and love for YOU in all that you’re going through!
PS…May my “drafts” be a thing of the past!
